The Management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has announced that the closure of all schools and public offices in Abuja between May 7 and 9, 2014 for the World Economic Forum, WEF, does not affect operations at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and other airports in the country.
Yakubu Dati, coordinating general manager, communications, aviation parastatals, explained that there would be normal flight operations at all airports, as scheduled, throughout the period of the forum.
“We assure all passengers and other airport users that adequate security and operational arrangements have been put in place at all our airports to ensure hitch-free passenger facilitation during and after the WEF,” he added.
